Looking back, I was a fool. I was busy not because it was my choice, but because I thought being everywhere meant I mattered.

I led a very sheltered life growing up. My father was strict; rules for everything, structure always, freedom rarely. So, when I finally left for college at 17, I was like a bird released from a cage into an endless sky, utterly bewildered about which direction to fly.

But by Sunday, we all got seriously ill. In my state of sickness, I thought how I needed to get better for work on Monday and then I thought of my staff; the likely Monday absenteeism.

“Confidence comes from knowing your facts cold before you open your mouth.”
Ms Evelyn’s powerful message this week reminds us that facts are the bedrock of good decision making!

This week was all about the power of self-belief! We saw conviction in action as our students excelled in their lessons, from Marble Painting (Pre-Nursery) and Bahasa Melayu suku kata (Nursery) to Phonics (‘ou’) (K1) and learning about major Malaysian Festivals (K2). Our K1 and K2 students also aced their Speaking and Spelling Exams!
